A brief summary of this year's edition is presented below.
Several hundred works from 41 countries were sent to the Freedom of Form contest. The Grand Prix awards went to Ioan Gavriel for Music Video „Thirsty Eyes – 838” and Bill Brown for „XCTRY” in the Experimental Short Visual Form category. The distinction in the same category was given to Alexander Isaenko for his film „Adieu, Corpus!”.
The special prize for lifetime achievement and exceptional aesthetic sensitivity was awarded to Dominik Lejman.
In the visual competition during VJ Battle eight VJs faced each other. They were chosen from several dozen candidates who applied from countries such as Colombia, Germany, the Netherlands, Syria, Russia, the USA, Bulgaria or France. Yan Kalnberzin won the battle beating Boros.tv in the final.
Congratulations to the winners once again. We thank the President of the City of Gdańsk who sponsored three of the awarded prizes, the City of Gdańsk and Marshal's Office of Pomorskie Voivodeship for financial support and the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, the European Solidarity Centre and Music Club Parlament for providing spaces for festival activities.
But primarily we bow to the artists and our gentle audience - we do this festival just for you!
